For more than two decades, wildland firefighting has been more than a profession to me. It's been a commitment to protecting the communities I call home.
20+ Years as a Firefighter, 13 as a Fire Captain
I grew up, worked an trained in these communities. I know the neighborhoods, the canyons, the terrain, and the challenges that come with living in wildfire country. Protecting the places and people I care about has always meant more to me than simply doing a job.
I started WUI Fire Solutions because I wanted to bring that experience directly to homeowners, one property and one conversation at a time.
When I visit your home, I'll personally walk the property with you, listen to your concerns, and explain what I see, why it matters, and what you can do to make your home more defensible.
My assessments go beyond what I can see during a walkthrough. I also examine historical RAWS weather data, fuel moisture, Burning Index (BI), Energy Release Component (ERC), prevailing winds, and local fire history to better understand the wildfire conditions specific to your property.
For homeowners choosing Tier 2, I'll also prepare a professional, property-specific wildfire risk and mitigation report for submission to the homeowners insurance company for review which could help offset the cost of the assessment.
How WUI Inspections Can Lower Your Homeowner Insurance
California law gives homeowners important rights in this process.
Under California code of regulations, title 10, 2644.9(h)(4) and (i) qualifying homeowners have rights to request updated wildfire risk classifications following completed mitigation measures and to appeal certain wildfire risk classifications. My detailed tier 2 assessment and documentation package can help homeowners demonstrate completed improvements, and support these requests for insurance review.
